Advantages of Galvanized Coils

1.Anti-corrosion performance: The galvanized layer forms a protective film of zinc oxide/zinc carbonate through the principle of preferred corrosion by sacrificial anodes, effectively isolating the steel substrate from contact with corrosive media. When the thickness of the hot-dip galvanized coating is ≥45μm, the corrosion rate under salt spray test is ≤1μm/ year, and the corrosion resistance life is 5 to 10 times longer than that of ordinary steel coils.

2.Processing performance: The galvanized coating does not affect the cold bending, stamping and welding performance of the base material, but the die gap (coating thickness +0.02mm) needs to be controlled to avoid zinc coating peeling. The galvanizing process slightly increases the yield strength (about 5-10 mpa) without affecting the low-temperature toughness.

3.Excellent processing performance: The zinc coating has good ductility and adhesion, and can be easily processed by cold stamping, bending, welding and other operations. During processing, the coating is not easy to fall off or crack. For instance, rectangular, circular pipes and irregular components can all be precisely formed, with high production efficiency.

4.Excellent surface quality: The surface of the galvanized coil is smooth and flat, effectively reducing wind resistance and noise, lowering dust accumulation, and facilitating cleaning and maintenance. For example, when applied to ventilation ducts, it can ensure the efficiency of air circulation and extend the maintenance cycle.

5.Long service life: In industrial environments, the corrosion resistance period can reach 10 to 20 years, and in Marine environments, it still remains for 5 to 10 years. Compared with ordinary steel coils, the full life cycle cost is reduced by 30-50%.
